ERP Business Analyst

For one of our clients in the Energy sector, we are looking for an ERP Business Analyst.
Main mission
The ERP Business Analyst supports business teams in understanding, formalizing, and improving their operational processes concerning the existing ERP system and the ongoing transformation project. This role acts as an interface between business users, the project team, and application experts to ensure a consistent, efficient, and standardized use of the ERP in its current state.
The objective is to help business teams clarify their current practices, formalize target processes, make better use of the existing ERP, identify gaps between business needs and the actual use of the tool, and prepare for the necessary changes within the framework of the ERP project.
Business process formalization
- Facilitate workshops with business teams to understand current practices.
- Map and document existing processes, roles, information flows, and pain points.
- Formalize target processes while ensuring consistency with company standards and ERP constraints.
- Identify gaps between field practices, documented procedures, and actual system usage.
Support for the use of the existing ERP
- Assist users in comprehending processes covered by the ERP.
- Help business teams use the tool rigorously, consistently, and in compliance with defined rules.
- Identify poor practices, workarounds, duplications, or non-optimal usage.
- Propose pragmatic corrective actions to improve daily ERP usage.
Interface between business and ERP project
- Gather, structure, and challenge business requirements.
- Translate operational needs into clear requirements understandable by functional project teams.
- Facilitate interactions among users, process owners, key users, and ERP experts.
- Contribute to impact assessments related to process or configuration changes.
Support for transformation and adoption
- Participate in preparing the process and organizational changes driven by the ERP project.
- Help draft operational materials: work instructions, user guides, business rules, and training materials.
- Assist business teams in developing capabilities in process and system best practices.
- Contribute to user testing by ensuring scenarios reflect business reality.
Continuous improvement
- Escalate pain points, inconsistencies, and observed improvement opportunities.
- Participate in standardizing practices across teams or departments.
- Contribute to improving data reliability and strengthening process execution discipline.
- Support process governance by ensuring clear and usable documentation.

Desired profile
- Higher education degree in management, engineering, supply chain, finance, information systems, or equivalent.
- Experience in business analysis in an ERP environment.
- A good understanding of operational processes in an industrial or corporate setting.
- Experience in supporting users and facilitating business workshops.
- Ability to connect business needs, processes, and IT tools.
- Experience in an industrial transformation context is an asset.
- Knowledge of Oracle ERP is a strong plus.
- Exposure to projects involving standardization, process harmonization, or core model deployment is an advantage.
